Welsh International returns a King

Gloucester City Kings announce Welsh International, Rhys Farrell as their first signing for the 2023/24 season. Rhys has spent the last two seasons at NBL 2 but will now return home to become a key piece for the Kings.

Rhys Farrell had this to say:

I am super excited to be back representing the city where I grew up and started playing the game. It's been a desire of mine for a while and now the timing is right. We have an exciting team in the works with big ambitions for the season ahead along with the opportunity to build a serious, respected senior men's program that represents the county. I can't wait to see everyone for our first home game of the season.

Head Coach, Jimmy Bower had this to say:

We are delighted to welcome Rhys back to Gloucester, as a local player he relates to our vision on such a deeper level. He has gained valuable experience at higher levels including the International stage so will look to him to provide leadership and play a major role in building our culture. We have talked a lot about creating a legacy for the county and the desire Rhys has shown to be a part of that is great.

You can see Rhy's debut in our pre-season game against USA Select on the 3rd September at Leisure at Cheltenham. Book your tickets by clicking the image below.
