On the eve of the WBBL Cup competition the Gloucester City Queens are sad to report that star guard Melita Emanuel-Carr will be missing through injury.
Queens Head Coach, Jay Marriott said:
"Melita has been experiencing some problems with the knee she had her ACL operation on. As a precaution we have removed her from the squad whilst we investigate it internally. Having had a scan we are awaiting some answers and all pray for some good news. Obviously losing her leadership and talent on the floor will have a detrimental effect to us as a team but that is the furthest thing from my mind at this time. This has been a long fight back to fitness for Melita and I share her pain and frustration at this time. We hope to have some news for you all next week."
