Marques coming to Gloucester

Gloucester City Queens are starting 2022 in style by securing the signing of Portuguese guard, Carolina Marques. Having made the decision not to continue studying this season, Carolina decided to leave the Worcester Wolves program and pursue the WBBL.

Gloucester City Queens Head Coach, Jay Marriott said:

"We are so thankful for our relationship with Worcester Wolves and Coach Emery. The loss of Maura has hit us hard so we welcomed some reinforcements. Having nearly a week with Carol she is great to work with. A very intelligent player both offensively, defensively and more importantly fitting right in with the group. She has taken the step up in her stride and I'm looking forward to seeing her represent the Queens for the first time this weekend."

Carolina is cleared to make her debut against the Oakland Wolves tomorrow as your Queens hit the road for their first game of 2022.
