Gloucester City Kings announce Jimmy Bower as next Head Coach

Coach Jimmy Bower has officially been announced as the new Head Coach of the Gloucester City Kings for the 2023/24 season.

Managing Director, Jay Marriott had this to say:

We are all excited to see Jimmy step into this position and lead our men's program. He is a talented young coach with the connection and drive to the county that makes me believe he will do something special over the coming seasons. We gained some valuable insight in our first season in the league and it's now time to build expectations both on and off the court. I want to extend my thanks to Adam Stacey for his hard work and commitment last season, I look forward to continuing working with him in other areas of the organisation.

Coach Jimmy Bower had this to say:

Heading into year 2 is an exciting prospect for myself and the team. We have recruited a great blend of experience and young prospects that I look forward to sharing with you soon. It's fantastic to see the roster made up of predominantly home grown talent and sharing my passion for seeing Gloucestershire being represented at senior NBL level. My primary goal is to see this talent come together as one committed group. I have seen a huge amount of talent flow throughout Gloucestershire but rarely has it all been in one place, pulling in the same direction. I am ready and believe this group of men are ready to be the flagship for basketball in Gloucestershire and lead the way towards growth and success.

Stay tuned for more exciting club announcements over the coming weeks including player signings and new partnerships.
