Avinante returns to bring leadership to Kings

Gloucester City Kings announce the return of guard, Villie Avinante. The local product has been a key component of the club since it's conception but has been hampered with a long term injury. His return to NBL action brings some much needed leadership to the group and a player that embodies the culture of the club.

Head Coach Jimmy Bower had this to say:

I'm delighted to see Villie return to the NBL team as he is someone that brings so much to our team both on and off the court. As a player he gives us a real outside threat and is a fierce competitor. Off the court as we look to grow our culture not only through this team but the club as a whole, there is nobody better to represent us than Villie.

Villie Avinante had this to say:

I'm blessed and very excited to be part of the 2023/24 Gloucester City Kings team, with a mixture of key guys coming back and young guys coming in this season the prospect of this season is looking very positive. I can already see the teams chemistry growing every training session and everyone is bought in to building a strong culture. I can't wait to see what we can do when the season starts. We have a talented group that can achieve something special this season.

You can see Villie and the team in action, pre-season against USA Select on September 3rd. Tickets are still available if you click the image below.
