Australian Macdonald brings size to the Kings

Gloucester City Kings announce Fraser Macdonald as their second signing of the 2023/24 season. The 6'8 Australian has just graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta in the USA. Macdonald finished his senior season averaging 13.4ppg and 9.8rpg giving the Kings some real size and pedigree in the frontcourt.

Fraser Macdonald had this to say:

I'm really looking forward to getting to Gloucester and joining the Kings organisation. Coming out of college in the US, I was looking for the right place to take the next step in my basketball career and the Gloucester City Kings seems like the perfect place to do that. I'm excited to see what we can put together this year as a club.

Head Coach, Jimmy Bower had this to say:

We are really excited to secure Fraser's services this coming season. When we started our recruitment size was something we felt we needed so Fraser was the perfect fit. Our culture is really important to us and in getting to know Fraser we loved his attitude towards the project and the fact he is still hungry to develop and build on his career in the sport. Our group has been working hard in the summer and this addition gives us a missing piece to the puzzle. I think Fraser can make a huge impact in this league this season.

You can see Frser's debut in our pre-season game against USA Select on the 3rd September at Leisure at Cheltenham. Book your tickets by clicking the image below.
